This deeper adventure includes nine teaching discoveries, an animated village with six missions, a six-question challenge, and a family activity. It introduces the seventh-day Sabbath as God's gift of rest, worship, and doing good. It is designed for ages 6–10, with an adult nearby to read, listen, and talk.
Our pronomian foundation We believe salvation is God's gift by grace through faith, not something we earn by keeping commandments (Ephesians 2:8–10). We teach children to love God and follow Jesus by walking in God's instructions. In this approach, the seventh-day Sabbath remains a meaningful part of Christian obedience.
We read the Old and New Testaments as one connected story. Jesus affirmed God's commandments and showed the Sabbath's goodness through mercy and healing. Other Christians understand Sabbath observance differently; teach your family's convictions with humility and kindness.
Scripture trail & teaching notes Genesis 2:1–3: God finished His work, rested on the seventh day, blessed it, and made it holy. His rest means ceasing His creation work, not recovering from exhaustion.Exodus 20:8–11: The fourth commandment calls God's people to remember the Sabbath. Rest includes the household, workers, the foreign resident, and animals.Leviticus 23:3: The seventh day is a Sabbath of rest and a holy gathering.Mark 2:27–28: Jesus teaches that Sabbath was made for humanity and that He is Lord of the Sabbath.Matthew 12:9–13: Jesus heals a man and teaches that it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.John 14:15; Ephesians 2:8–10: Love, grace, and faithful action belong together.Lesson story text and verse summaries are original paraphrases. The separate interactive Bible reader presents actual Berean Standard Bible (BSB) text, labeled with the translation and verse numbers. You can also read the full passages in your preferred translation.
Make Sabbath meaningful at home In this tradition, Sabbath is observed from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. Prepare beforehand so everyone can share in the rest. Gather for worship, read Scripture, enjoy time together, and look for opportunities to show mercy.
Specific household choices—such as screens, meals, and activities—are family practices. Discuss them as a family without presenting every house rule as a direct biblical command. Needed care and helping someone in trouble belong with Jesus' teaching about doing good.
Three questions for your family What does God's gift of rest tell us about Him? How did Jesus show kindness on the Sabbath? How can we help everyone in our home enjoy a day of rest? A prayer: Father, thank You for Your good gifts. Help us follow Jesus, delight in Your ways, and share Your kindness. Amen.
Device progress & accessibility No child name, email, or account is required. Lesson progress, village missions, collected game items, and family activity choices are stored in this browser only. Clearing browser storage removes them. The interactive Bible reader uses prerecorded, AI-generated Marin narration for its BSB passages. Word highlighting follows alignment timestamps, which can vary slightly from the sound. If a recording is unavailable, the reader can use a browser voice. Passage text is from the public-domain Berean Standard Bible (BSB), with chapter links for notes. Lesson explanations remain original paraphrases. The site requests a font from Google Fonts and also works with fallback fonts.
